Do Stuff for Money

Google Buzz

Paypal launched a new site, Do Stuff for Money. I must say it intrigues me- pay people to do stuff for me, online? Have you heard of that?

When your offer is accepted, you will be prompted to pay your friend. There’s where Paypal will earn all the transactional fees.

Cards of Change

Google Buzz

Every card, no matter how special, in a pile is no longer outstanding.
Pretty, elegant business cards are out. Those graffiti-ed are in.

Cards Of Change
Cards of Change is a community of business cards of people whom have been retrenched in this depressing period of recession. Yes, why waste the cards? Recycle! They have been doodled on to serve as a ‘temporary business card’ until the next job comes.

In a positive light, the site aims to provide connections with potential employers.

Seth Godin

Google Buzz

Recently I’ve been busy reading up on marketing, just for exposure.
A week ago, I was being referred to Seth Godin’s books upon reading “The Starbucks Experience” and have found his writings interesting. The one I just finished is “Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable”, can’t wait to start on the others.

(Admit it, the banner on the right looks so clickable- nice colour, great design.)
His blog entry about Personal Branding in the age of Google really cracked me up. Nothing escapes Google, that’s only one of the reasons why it’s the best search engine. I’m the kind of person who googles everything I need to know, predictably, I’m definitely guilty of googling my own name– and so far it’s been a good record. (thank God!) Sidetracking… my surname’s a common one to begin with, Chen, and my name isn’t very much unique either. Not many people know of my middle name, so it’s almost pretty much redundant.

Have you googled yourself yet?
If not, it’s high time you do so now!

Now, this why you are fat.

The pictures are supposed to look appetizing… the collection is getting bigger by the day.
And be sure to look out for the book in stores for they will be publishing one! Foodies better buy it but be careful not to drool.
